Volunteer for Walter Mondale Event

Mondale-imageOn October 20, the Trachtenberg School is honored to co-host with the University of Minnesota a series of panel presentations to honor the 42nd Vice President of the United States Walter F. Mondale. In order to ensure this event goes off without a hitch, we need your help.  If you have some free time on Tuesday, October 20, and can volunteer to help us staff this event, we’d love to show Mr. Mondale and our guests how amazing Trachtenberg School students are.

Vice President Mondale will discuss his public service with many special guests including Senators Patrick Leahy and Dianne Feinstein, Taylor Branch, Marian Wright Edelman and others (stay tuned for possibly really big news coming soon).

Amber Palmer-Halma is the volunteer coordinator for the event.  She is looking for students to help with check-in, serving as runners for needed items, helping participants find lunch and then return to the auditorium etc. Volunteers will need to dress in business attire (suits, please) and Amber will provide all volunteers with lunch. Volunteer shifts will be from either 8am-12:30pm (lunch provided following the shift) or from 11:45am-4:15pm (lunch provided before the shift).  In addition to volunteering, you will be allowed to fill any available seat in the auditorium when you are not busy so that you can hear the amazing panelists. There will also be overflow viewing areas in you would like to watch.

If you are interested in volunteering for one or both shifts, please email Amber (apalmerhalma@gwu.edu) and indicate when you can help.  Also, let Amber know if you have any questions.
