Commencement Student Speaker Competition 2016

Student-Speaker-Flyer-webThere Are 101 Things to Do at GW; Which Lucky Student Will Make It 102? There are many unique things to do #OnlyatGW. During the admissions experience and colonial orientation students are provided a list of 101 Things Do at GW, with number 101 being “graduate in the city of presidents.” Only one lucky student will complete 102 things…speak at Commencement on the National Mall, an experience like no other in the world.

In a unique “only at GW” tradition, a student speaker has participated at every commencement ceremony since 1992. The student speaker will reflect on his or her experiences at GW in a way that resonates with graduates at all levels. The student speaker competition winner will be someone who can serve as a model of the GW experience and deliver strong content in a way that connects in person with both students and guests as those watching on the live web stream.

The deadline to submit materials is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 26. For more information, visit commencement.gwu.edu. For questions, contact University Events at commencement@gwu.edu or 202-994-7129.
